What is Breathwork?

Breathwork means “working with your breathing”.

Breathwork is a method of personal development and psychophysical well-being achieved through breathing.

The key idea behind this approach is that breathing, which is fundamental to physiological life, is also closely related to the emotional and mental state of everyone.

By deepening and expanding the breathing it is possible to get a bigger inrush of oxygen in the blood and more energy in the whole body, helping relieving tensions and blockages.

Aware Breathing
It is the method's core.
Breathing is our primary expression of life.

A body without breath is a body without life.
The more our breath is fluid, deep and aware, the more our life becomes happy and harmonious.

Using the “circular breathing”, which means no interruption between inhaling and exhaling, we can enter deeply in contact with ourselves. This process evolves in a natural and conscious way.
“If you can do something with the breath, you will suddenly turn to the present.
If you can do something with breath, you will attain to the Source of Life.
If you can do something with breath, you can transcend time and space.
If you can do something with breath, you will be in the world and also beyond it”
(Osho)

Creative Thinking
Each individual has his/her own image of the world, based on personal experiences, beliefs and values that influence the self perception and the vision of reality.

Breathwork makes use of a tool which extends and transforms this personal vision: the “creative thinking” technique.

This is a wonderful method that has a great and simple truth in it: in order to change everything in your own life it is necessary, first of all, to change deeply your thoughts and beliefs.

“We are what we think,
With our thoughts we create the world”.
(Buddha, Dhammapada)
